Kiss & Tell: My choices of photogenic lipsticks (朗朗的口紅之選)

I'm lucky to have lips in a healthy attractive tone, good enough that I might not even need lipsticks at all... 

But being photogenic will take a lot more than just having a camera with all those functions with

-Eyes enlarging

-Whitening

-Skin softening

-Face slimming

One of my own recommendations on being photogenic is by picking a good lipstick but being photogenic is never the first reason why I pick a certain lipstick.

Kiss the tissue and the true color tells

My list of lipsticks and how they look on me and on the tissue I kissed (with no specified orders in favoritism):

1) Kailijumei-Dream Purple

This is absolutely new for me, so new that I would buy all the colors I see and give bffs the colors they want.  The Kailijumei lipsticks are now the latest trends that I would go crazy about, especially the lipstick tone changes through temperature and lightings.

 

How it looks on me: Cuz I have natural pale peach toned lips, so the color gives me a fuller layer on my lips, therefore naturally more defined.  It's also the reason why I would pick this lipstick as my choices of making me photogenic.

2) Lancome- L'Absolu Definition shade 195

Tester from a very sweet & generous coworker- Siann.  I never have believed I would find a red lipstick that looks good on me.  Can't believe this one is free for me and I think I can survive without layers of powders to go to work.

Thank you, Siann.  How you treat me is honestly priceless, I'm not just talking about the lipstick! I'm talking about every moment we spend together at work!

How it looks on me: I felt I've been saved by the lipstick!  Can't help feeling this lipstick is a must have when I decide to wear black dresses.  I finally feel I'm the sexiest person alive with this red lipstick

Tosowoong Rice paper pack review and tips

I always believe that the essence from rice is one of the best skin care ingredients, why say so? 

I remember Daddy used to always ask for my assistance making dinner during my younger years, while I learnt to clean the rice, Daddy used to always tell me the essence in the rice water has the character of skin renewal, for smoother, softer skin.

It's always been my hands that took the best of the rice essence these years but never tried any rice water as skin care for my face.

At the beginning if this month, I've randomly walked into a shop and found the Korean brand rice paper pack mask.

The paper pack will tear if it’s soaked 100%, so don't expect it'easy to wear in the soaked texture.  From experience, I think 70-80% soaked by the rice water before putting the mask on your face is the best way to enjoy pampering your skin.

I felt I failed to use the mask because pieces of the mask torn during my first use. But I started to make a better use on my 2nd and 3rd mask, and for better results on the next day for softer and brighter skin.

For better results from the mask, here are my tips from experience:

- Apply before you sleep

- After removing the mask, use cotton pad to take rice water left on the plastic tray.  Massage all over your face.

- Dry your face by air, so that you're leaving your skin to absorb all the essence.

But this mask is expensive ($16HKD per pack), so I wouldn't use it as often as I use My Beauty Diary and Dr. Morita.

I've got Alice &  Jennifer that are spoiled by me with those masks recently.  They are the lab rats I picked for trying these masks together.  I wish you both enjoy the masks ALOT and can't til we meet for our Sep gathering!

No more sweetkuromi- A complete new me and new blog

Now that I am back in the beauty blogging community- no longer "sweetkuromi" as my username, but as 'Desiree' to drive my own ambition to desire better, deserve better in regardless of a better life or more people to recognize my passion.

But I still have the same personality and passion as when I was known as sweetkuromi, but probably changed alot.

I was thinking for a long time what my first blog entry should be about... as I stopped blogging on "sweetkuromi" with too much going on for those years.  Right, my first blog entry is my husband Nelson as my pride of life.

How We've Met?
Clubbing in Magnum on 7 September 2013.

A guy across the club kept looking back and smiled at me, so I smiled back.  But at the same time, I was annoyed by 2 ugly dwarves that I decided to walk away.... As I was walking off, the guy came up to me and said "My name is Nelson. What's your name?!"

How We got together?
So quick that everything took place on the first night we met.  Since the music was playing too loud, we stopped dancing and talked alot on the balcony of Magnum.  We left the club cuz I suggested watching sunrise together and Nelson agreed immediately without any hesitation.

Married Since When?
We've made our Big Day on 20 Oct 2014.  When I looked back on 20 Oct in the past years, big ups and downs on that day (20 October) usually happens- included big bad times with friends/coworkers, leaving Hong Kong in 2009.... But in the end, Nelson made a big difference as now 20 Oct is now the day that we celebrate our love with joy

I truly appreciate Nelson coming into my life- certainly made a big difference for me, especially he made me believe 20 Oct is the day we will walk through storms and celebrate love together no matter what.

This blog will not only just be all about beauty, fashion.  I will include more interesting blog entries- Hang out places and my fave hobby- DIY floral accessories (By the way, I made those teapot accessories!).
